I am originally from Palo Alto, CA. I moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to study Animation and Digital Arts at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. (You are currently reading this bio page on my animation portfolio website.) After graduating in 2013 I started a career in Motion Design for advertising. On the side I performed weekly as a drag queen named 'Maxilla' at a local drag night called "Exposure Drag."
Life continued as such until March 2020 when I was laid off from my freelance Motion Design gig thanks to COVID. During this sudden unemployment phase I remembered all the times since High School that friends, coworkers, family members, and strangers encouraged me to try acting... So in November 2020 I finally gave it a shot.
Theatrical Acting Reel.
Ethnically, I am Jewish/Polish/Ukranian but everyone guesses that I'm either Spanish, Italian, French, or a White Latino. No one has ever guessed that I'm Jewish from just looking at me, interestingly.
Right now my career aspiration is simply to be able to get to a point where Acting is all I do to make money, and no longer have to depend on Motion Graphics for an income. I personally feel that I am a better actor than animator, but I am also good at both, and Motion Design is a great backup career to have.
As previously alluded, I am not formally trained in acting. Animation and Drag are conceptually related to the field, however, so in a roundabout way maybe I am sort of trained in acting? I am currently Non-Union.
Special abilities I have include fluency in Spanish and Italian, very fast memorization skills, decent makeup skills, and an extremely high proficiency in video editing software.
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about me,
